About the Work

My work focuses on the human figure as a place where emotion quietly surfaces. I paint moments that feel intimate and unresolved, where expressions, gestures, or a glance reveal something internal but not fully explained.

Using a limited palette and loose brushwork, I allow parts of the figure to remain unfinished or to dissolve into the canvas's surface. This openness is intentional, leaving space for ambiguity and for the viewer’s own interpretation.

Hands, faces, and small gestures often become the centre of the painting. These are the points where emotion and reflection become most visible, while other areas remain fluid and undefined.

I am interested in the subtle psychological states that appear in the body and the face, the quiet weight of thought, memory, or emotion passing through a person.
