Bio

Manuela Greco is an Italian visual artist based in Dublin, Ireland, whose work focuses on intimate figurative painting.

Born in Campobasso, Molise, she holds a Master’s degree in Painting and Drawing from the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Terni, Italy.

After moving to Ireland in 2017, she worked as a Visual Artist and Art Consultant for an Irish branding company, contributing drawings for EY WaveSpace, the Innovation Center of Ernst & Young in Dublin, as part of the space's design and layout (see project).

Greco had her first solo exhibition, Intimacy, in Dublin in 2022. In the same year, she received an award from the Molise Region in recognition of her artistic career abroad. In 2025, she was shortlisted for the Annual Exhibition at the Royal Hibernian Academy. She currently lives and works in Dublin.

About the Work

I paint what people don’t say out loud.

I’m drawn to the moments people rarely show: eyes closed, a hand over the face, a body turning away. These small gestures often reveal more than any expression, and they are usually where a painting begins.

My brushwork is loose and instinctive, and I leave parts of the figure unresolved. Some areas are clearly defined, others fade or remain bare. This is intentional: it leaves space for the viewer to bring something of their own to the work.
